Certificates, statements of service and testimonials relating to the 21 year military career of Sergeant Philip Bastow, 3 Battalion, Royal Artillery, including his period of service as Sergeant Major to the Royal Quebec Volunteer Artillery during the rebellion in Canada in 1837; his discharge on pension and his subsequent 28 years service as Foreman of the Royal Magazine in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.
