The Irish Young Philosopher Awards

15 May 2019

Venue: University College Dublin

The Irish Young Philosopher Awards are supported by:

The Centre for Ethics in Public Life, UCD School of Philosophy

The Irish Young Philosopher Awards (IYPA) initiative was launched by President Michael D. Higgins and Sabina Higgins at Áras an Úachtaráin on Thursday 16th November, 2017.

The idea behind the IYPA is for primary and secondary school students to explore philosophy through a nationwide award program and festival. Over the course of the year, students have worked on individual and group philosophy projects and will come together at the IYPA Philosophy Festival on 15 May to present their work with students from around the country. They have created amazing projects and the IYPA Festival will celebrate their creativity, collaboration, critical and ethical thinking, and philosophical genius.
