UCD Engineering, Lab Summer School

The UCD School of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering was established in 1952 and is the oldest, largest, and highest ranked school of its kind in Ireland. The school will run a 4-week Unit Operations and Bioprocess Lab Summer School in June 2023.

Tuesday, 6th June to Friday, 30th June 2023

On-campus housing in UCD with private rooms in 4-6 bed shared apartments

A minimum grade of C to award a Certificate of Completion which will be sent to the home institution

We recommend Partners award 10-ECTS/6 US credits on successful completion. However, on awarding a Certificate of Completion, we will leave the transfer of credits to the home institution.

Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to apply or the international equivalent. The application is open to both EU and Non-EU students. The target cohort is students transitioning from 2nd to 3rd year (sophomore to junior) and 3rd to 4th year (junior to senior).  First-year students who have completed their 1st year alone would not attain maximum benefit from the course or have the required pre-learnings.
