Visiting Professor of Architecture Lesley Lokko announced for 2022-24

UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesley Lokko as Visiting Professor, 2022-24. Professor Lokko is an internationally renowned academic and teacher, recipient of the 2020 RIBA Annie Spink Award for Excellence in Architectural Education and of the 2021 Ada Louise Huxtable Award for Contribution to Architecture. She was founder and inaugural Director of the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Johannesburg and is currently Founding Director of the African Futures Institute in Accra, Ghana. Last year, she was appointed Curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, 2023.
We greatly look forward to having Professor Lokko engage with our students and staff over the coming two years, especially in the ongoing development of our approaches to teaching and learning.
