As our world faces increasing environmental challenges, the intersection of technology, sustainability, and democracy becomes more critical than ever. This panel, Sustainability, Technology, and Democracy, brings together experts from University College Dublin, Atlantic Technological University and ESB to explore how technological advancements can play a key role in advancing sustainability while aligning with democratic values.
Our panelists bring expertise from diverse fields, offering unique perspectives on the intersection of sustainability, technology, and democracy. With backgrounds in sustainability education, AI governance, data centre engineering, sustainable food systems, and energy infrastructure, they will explore how emerging technologies can drive sustainability while ensuring inclusivity and democratic governance.
Drawing from their experiences in business innovation, digital transformation, regulatory frameworks, and industry practices, they will examine the challenges of integrating sustainability efforts across various sectors. The discussion will also highlight how education and policy frameworks can support the ethical and practical application of sustainable technologies in areas such as AI, food security, energy systems, and digital infrastructure.
Join us to discuss how we can build a more sustainable and equitable future, where technology serves both people and the planet.
