How can we improve environmental policies, laws, governance, and decision-making at global, national and local scales? How can we design our environmental governance rules to maximise environmental compliance? What policies, laws and legal structures are needed to effect the transformative changes required to tackle challenges including climate breakdown and global biodiversity loss, and how do we track and measure their efficacy?
The UCD Earth Institute’s multidisciplinary community of researchers are working to answer these questions.
Contact our Policy & Governance theme leads Eoin O'Neill (UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy) & Andrew Jackson (UCD Sutherland School of Law) or the Earth Institute team to find out more about our activities in this area.
