Time Space Place
UCD School of Education is an international and national leader in research in the History of Education, where researchers explore education ideas and changes across centuries and traditions. The impacts of space and place on education experience interest many of our researchers. The School has particular strengths in areas such as the history of the education of women and girls; gender and education; the churches, the state and education; research that uses life histories and oral testimonies; and research that draws on the archives and records of convents and schools. The School also offers research leadership in the Philosophy of Education, and the Philosophy of Literature, including the morally educative value of literature and philosophy.
