Healthy UCD Walks

Bootcamp not for you? Well how about getting out to enjoy our campus now that the fine weather is on the way. The Healthy UCD walk utilises our woodland paths and has markings every 0.5km so you can easily keep track of the distance you cover when out for a walk. Each point also has a map so you can see the route to the next point.

It’s free, easy to do and a great opportunity to meet friends or make new ones while promoting your health and wellbeing. Click here to access the Healthy UCD Walk map.

Darkness into light

UCD Students' Union in conjunction with Healthy UCD are organising UCD's first ever Darkness Into Light walk in aid of Pieta House. Darkness Into Light is a 5km walk and fundraiser and is open to all UCD employees, students, alumni and local residents.

Join us at 4.15am on Saturday, 12 May as we walk 5km to meet the sunrise and work towards a world where suicide, self-harm, and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care, and acceptance.

Employee Assistance Programme

Don’t forget should you, a colleague or a member of your family need support around any general health or wellbeing issue please contact our Employee Assistance Programme (requires Connect Login).

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a confidential support service provided by an external provider. The EAP service is available to employees and their immediate family members providing a stepped-care and triage model of delivery supporting employees in areas of general health and well-being, as well as counselling supports.
•    The service is free to employees and their immediate family members (partner, spouse or adult child residing at the same address as the employee) – UCD bears the cost of this service.
•    The service is voluntary – the decision to use the service and avail of counselling where appropriate, rests with the individual.
•    The service is confidential and independent – and provided by an external company called Inspire Workplaces.
