Priorities 

  • To collect and monitor EDI data at application stage for employees and link this data to appointments;
  • To look at implementing an Employee Self Service system as a means of collecting data across the 10 University Grounds[1] in order to understand the make-up of the employee population, and to prioritise EDI initiatives;
  • To embed a means of collecting EDI data across the 10 University grounds at registration stage for students in order to understand the diversity make-up of the employee population and prioritise EDI initiatives;
  • To clearly identity the purpose of collecting EDI data and how it will be used, which will be essential for communication with employees and students around EDI data collection
  • To develop a reporting system to enable Schools to prepare applications for the Athena SWAN awards, and to provide information sessions to Schools on the reporting system;
  • To oversee the development and implementation of an EDI Survey to all students and employees in order to collect both quantitative and qualitative data;
  • To measure the impact of EDI initiatives based on the collection of statistical EDI data;
  • To report on an annual basis to the EDI Group and the UMT on the results of EDI data analyses and the impact of EDI initiatives, and to make recommendations based on the data.
