Operation Transformation 2019

It’s January which means Operation Transformation is back! There are lots of ways you can get involved this year and become part of the movement of a ‘healthier Ireland’. Whether you would like to lose weight, become fitter or simply maintain good health, check out the info below with more details.

  • The HSE 'Love Life Love Walking' event has been running annually since 2017 in which workplaces are encouraged to get staff active and organise a walk in their workplace. This year Healthy UCD is organising a walk  on Thursday the 14th of February from 1.10pm-1.40pm meeting at the chess board (By O' Brien Science). Step away from the books and the desk and join us for some fresh air, free fruit (!) and meet others across campus- all welcome!
  • ‘Ireland Lights Up’ aims to let people enjoy safe, well-lit walks and takes place from 7-9pm on Thursday evenings (from the 17th of January- the 1st of February 2019). The walks are in local GAA clubs and give participants a chance to get some physical activity, engage with others and promote social inclusion and interaction.
