Manchan Magan

A talk by

Manchán Magan

Many members will have been following with great interest the fascinating series "Manchán Sa tSín" on TG4 in recent weeks - one of over 30 travel programmes that Manchán Magan and his brother Ruán have made together.
Tonight, Manchán, Documentary Film Maker and adventurous student of foreign civilisations, will tell us at first hand about that recent trip to China.

Wednesday May 14th

Annual General Meeting

This AGM, the 28th of the ICCS, gives the membership a say in the running of our Society, and an opportunity to become involved in the Committee of the Society through nomination and election. All members are urged to attend.

Details and requests for Motions and nominations to the Committee will be ciculated to members by post.

Late May/Early June

"A New Look at the Chinese Slope"

- a visit to the Botanic Gardens, when the Handkerchief Tree is in bloom, with Seamus O'Brien as our guide.
Seamus gave us a wonderful talk in March on the Botanic Gardens expedition to China, in the footsteps of Augustine Henry. We are very grateful to him for agreeing to conduct this tour. We will give the exact timing as soon as it is arranged.
