UCD Information and Communication Studies (ICS)
The School of Information and Communication Studies (ICS) is a leading information school and part of the international iSchool consortium. In the QS World University Rankings of 2022, ICS is ranked in the top 50 schools globally in the subject of Library and Information Management. Our programmes and research are concerned with the relationship between people, information and technology. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Information and Communication Studies, Communications and Media, Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction and Digital Policy. Our Masters in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) is accredited by the Library Association of Ireland (recognized by ALA and CILIP).
We offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Undergraduate programmes in ICS provide students with skills applicable in many different careers
Our research is highly interdisciplinary, with strong emphasis on the interaction between people, information and society in technological and communicative contexts
