The Children’s Research Network for Ireland and Northern Ireland (CRNINI)?, as part of its Prevention and Early Intervention Research Initiative, and the Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) are co-hosting a workshop on anonymising research data. This one-day workshop includes:

Morning workshop: 10am – 1pm

  • Principles of anonymising research data -  ??Ruth Geraghty, Data Curator, Children’s Research Network for Ireland and Northern Ireland
  • Anonymising quantitative research data - ??Sharon Bolton, Data Curation Manager, UK Data Archive (UKDA)
  • Anonymising qualitative research data - ??Aileen O’Carroll, Archive Manager, Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA)

Afternoon data clinic:  2pm – 4pm

Meet and discuss your anonymising and archiving queries with data curation and data management staff from the UKDA, IQDA, ISSDA, CSTAR and Children’s Research Network.

This workshop is suitable for anyone involved in the production and analysis of social research including:

  • post graduate students
  • academic teaching and research staff
  • research and data management staff in the third-level, voluntary, public and private research sectors
  • those with an interest in sharing and archiving research data
