Did you know that you can avail of free apps, software downloads and Microsoft Office training? All designed to help make your life easy at UCD!

You can download the following software for free:

Microsoft Office 365
As a registered UCD student you are entitled to a free copy of MS Office 365. Find out more and download Office 365 here 

Sophos Anti-Virus

Sophos is recommended for all computers at UCD and is also available for Macs. To download Sophos Anti-Virus go to UCD Connect, click on the ‘Software Download’ icon. You’ll be asked to login. Then click on Staff or Student and click on the Sophos icon to download.

UCD Mobile

New to UCD? Use the campus map feature to find your way around! If you have an iPhone - tap into use the 3D interactive view to find whatever building you are looking for. You can also see what dining options are available nearby. Check class notes and announcements with Bb Student (Blackboard for Students) and look up library journals on the bus with library catalogue search! There is a news feed, a staff directory and more!

BB Student (Blackboard) 

You can easily access your course updates and content  with BB Student! There's an activity stream logging events and actions as they happen so you can keep up to date with your class. You can view, complete and submit assignments, partake in virtual classrooms, blogs and wikis and even take tests and check your grades using this app! Works with: iOS 8+, Android 4.2+, Windows 8.1+ also available from Microsoft Windows Store

Microsoft Office Training
Students can sign up for Microsoft Office 2013 training and certification including Excel Core, Excel Expert, PowerPoint Core and Word Core.

Laptop Loans

Need a laptop? Laptop loans are available from the IT Centres in UCD. You can borrow a laptop to use anywhere on the Belfield campus for a day from 9am – 5.30pm.
