Students: Change Your Password On First Login To Avoid Losing Access

If you are a new or returning student who applied through the CAO please be sure to change your temporary password on first login to UCD Connect. Any student who is still using the temporary password or whose password doesn't meet the required password standards will lose access to service. This stronger password standard is in place to protect University information. Please change your password as soon as possible by going to UCD Connect and clicking on the password icon on the top right hand corner of the page.

Required Password Standards:

  • Password is case sensitive
  • Must be at least 8 characters long
  • Must include at least 2 letters
  • Must include at least 1 number
  • Must have at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Must have at least 1 uppercase letter

You will receive a limited number of logins before you lose access. If you spend your logins and lose access to service you can use the Password Self Service tool in UCD Connect (also available at go to the Forgotten Password function to set a new stronger password.
