Wed, 6 January 21
What is happening:
IT Services are aware of an increase in email traffic containing Malware (Trojan). The malicious emails contain zipped (.zip) or archived (.rar) attachments which include a decryption password in the body of the email. The email usually impersonates the name of a member of staff, but is sent from an external non UCD email address. If you receive a suspicious email, please mark it as spam (in UCD Gmail) and delete it.
Security Advice:
- Ensure all computers are protected with Sophos Endpoint Protection. (Available from Software Downloads)
