What is happening:

IT Services are aware of a malicious phishing email sent to UCD staff informing them that they have pending emails and that to login to increase storage capacity.
If you receive a suspicious email, please mark it as spam and delete it. It is very important that staff remain vigilant and do not reply to suspicious emails or login to links to verify details.  If you have replied or clinked on the link, please changed your password to your UCD email , and report this incident to the UCD IT Helpdesk (ithelpdesk@ucd.ie or 01 716 2700)


Email Example: subject: () You have { 17 } pending mails You have {17} pending mails clustered on your cloud due to low mailbox storage capacity. Logon to increase mailbox storage and release pending messages to your inbox following below instruction. MOVE MAILS TO INBOX CLEAN-UP CLOUD Mails will remain pending till proper action is taken by you. Messages older than 10 days will be removed
