Dr Anthony Cronin secures funding for UCD to host the 9th IMLSN annual national conference (posted 16/10/14)
Dr Anthony Cronin on behalf of the Irish Maths Learning Support Network (IMLSN) has secured funding from the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education to host the 9th IMLSN annual national conference Maximizing the impact of digital supports in Mathematics Learning Support in Higher Education to be held in UCD next year on Friday May 29th.
The format of the day long workshop will be a blend of keynote speaker, invited talks and a ‘sharing’ session where attendees will be invited to give a short 5 minute presentation about a digital resource or an approach to enabling students to use such resources that has had a significant impact in supporting student mathematics learning in their institution. It is intended that the keynotes and invited talks will be live streamed and recorded. Presenters include Dr Chris Sangwin - University of Loughborough (Keynote), Dr Madonna Herron - University of Ulster, Dr Shazia Ahmed - University of Glasgow as well as Irish speakers yet to be announced.
