Stephen Gardiner was recently elected as Treasurer of the Royal Irish Academy

Stephen Gardiner was recently elected as Treasurer of the Royal Irish Academy. He will serve in this role on the Academy's Council and Executive Committee, which are elected annually.

The Royal Irish Academy is Ireland's premier learning body and it was founded in 1785. The Academy's aims are the promotion and investigation of the sciences, humanities and social sciences. The Academy organises conferences, arranges discourses and public lectures, and conducts research.
