Call for Student Summer 2014 Research Projects
The Student Summer Research Committee invite proposals from researchers for the 2014 Student Summer Research programme. Proposals are sought for eight-week laboratory, clinical, patient-centred and education research projects, to be undertaken by our undergraduate students within our research laboratories, at UCD-affiliated clinical sites and within patient advocate groups.
Now in its eight year, this initiative has become the highlight of the School year with over 85 students undertaking research projects at home and overseas in our affiliate partners. The programme leverages the considerable research activity across the School and across our clinical partners and has become highly prized by our students.
As part of this elective programme, students will be expected to prepare oral and/or poster presentations for adjudication by senior faculty. The programme concludes with our student summer research awards (SSRA) which have become a highlight in the School calendar.
UPDATE : 1st February 2014
As a result of an unprecedented interest among our students for research projects, the School is extending deadline for submission of research project proposals by PI's. To be considered, the project proposal must be submitted using the online application process as soon as possible. Projects will take place during Summer 2014.
For more information and to submit a research project, please see our SSRA microsite.
