International Alcohol Brief Intervention Conference
Jointly hosted by the NYU Medical School and the International Network on Brief Interventions for Alcohol and Other Drugs, the 2017 INEBRIA conference will focus on 'Screening and brief intervention at the intersection of research, policy and practice: Advancing knowledge and meeting new challenges'.
Held in New York, on 14-15 September 2017, the conference will present findings from and promote further development of screening and brief intervention (SBI) research, with a particular focus on implementing and scaling up what works, and finding new approaches to addressing unhealthy alcohol and drug use that are feasible, effective, and sustainable.
As well as Prof Walter Cullen of the UCD Primary Care Research Group who will deliver a talk on ‘Enhancing Alcohol Screening in Primary Care’, the conference will also feature plenary talks by Prof Thomas Babor (University of Connecticut), Prof Simon Gilbody (University of York), and Prof Sharon Levy (Boston Children's Hospital).
