Departmental Facilities

The University Department of Anaesthesia is based in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Eccles Street, Dublin 7. The Department is involved in undergraduate attachments at the Resident Year level and in Student Projects.

At a postgraduate level, the Department offers courses in Physiology and Pharmacology for the Fellowship examinations held jointly by the UCD Medical School Departments of Physiology and Pharmacology and the Department of Anaesthesia, Mater Hospital. Training at Basic Specialist and Specialist Registrar levels in Anaesthesia, Pain Management and Intensive Care Medicine is offered. All subspecialty interests with the exception of Paediatrics are included in the training.
