24 candidates nominated for Governing Authority staff panel elections
At the close of nominations on 29 October, a total of twenty-four candidates in UCD’s three staff panels were validly nominated for election to the fourth Governing Authority, which will hold office for five years from 01 February 2009.
The list of candidates is as follows:
Professorial Staff Panel (six seats):

Non-Professorial Academic Staff Panel (five seats):

Non-Academic Staff Panel (three seats):
- Buckley, Mary
- French, Robert
- O’Donnell, Hugo
Voting papers and other election documents will be posted to members of the Professorial Staff Panel and to members of the Non-Professorial Academic Staff Panel in the week commencing 03 November. Polling will close on 25 November at 5.00 p.m. The counting of votes will take place on 26 and 27 November.
In the Non-Academic Staff Panel, since the number of validly nominated candidates is equal to the number of seats, Mary Buckley, Robert French and Hugo O’Donnell will be deemed elected.
