Faculty of Arts Postgraduate Colloquium 2004

The Faculty of Arts Postgraduate Colloquium took place on Wednesday, 18 February 2004 in the University Industry Centre, University College Dublin. Sixteen postgraduate students from the Faculty of Arts presented a paper on an aspect of their research. 

Professor Fergus D�Arcy, Dean of Arts, Dr Diarmuid � S�, Associate Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Maurice Boland, Acting Vice-President for Research, Dr Marc Caball, Director, Irish Research Council for Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr Joan Tiernan, former Associate Dean for Arts Postgraduate Studies, Professor Mary Daly, School of History/Humanities Institute of Ireland, Barbara Gannon, Manager, Arts Postgraduate Studies and 12 of the postgraduate students who presented papers on Arts Postgraduate Day.

The Day was divided into four sessions. These sessions were chaired by Dr Marc Caball, Director of the Irish Research Council for Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr Don Thornhill, Chairman of the Higher Education Authority, Professor Maurice Boland, Acting Vice-President for Research and Dr Michael Ryan, Director of the Chester Beatty Library.
