The objective of the Open Days is to provide prospective students with the opportunity of evaluating the career options open to them and to see the campus facilities, including the on-campus student residences.  Briefing sessions for groups of students took place every half hour in the Sports Centre, from 9.00am until 12.30pm, after which the students were  free to visit the various buildings in which they found a full programme of talks and displays.  Staff were available to discuss the courses on offer in all the faculties.
