Birds of a Feather, Working Groups & Special Interest Groups

Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions, Working Group (WG) sessions, and Special Interest Groups (SIG) are informal gatherings of like-minded individuals who wish to discuss a certain topic without a pre-planned agenda. For example, BoFs allow groups to meet and discuss issues related to "Turbomachinery", "Teaching with OpenFOAM", or "Turbulence", and they talk out common problems facing the community.

BoFs exist to provide attendees with an inclusive, informal environment in which to share ideas freely. BoFs can be serious, and a great way to gather the people you’ve been working with remotely on a project in a space to deep dive on a topic, but they can also be fun as well.

If you are interested in being involved in a BoF/WG/SIG, feel free to propose or take part in a session here: https://sites.google.com/view/ofw16-bof-wg-meetings
