On Bloomsday, June 16th, Professor Jürgen Habermas was awarded the Ulysses medal, the highest honour UCD can bestow. Prof. Habermas was nominated by Prof. Maeve Cooke, Head of the School of Philosophy.Habermas-laudatio He held a ‘Questions and Answers’ session for a group of around 30 staff and students in the morning of Tuesday 15 June and gave a public lecture that evening entitled ‘”The Political”: The Rational Meaning of a Questionable Inheritance of Political Theology’.
