Hedges and Hedgerows

A hedge is a wall composed of plants. Hedges have been used as field boundaries by farmers for centuries, using native Irish trees like Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and Ash (Fraxinus excelsior). Hedges are most often used for privacy in private gardens.
