What Our Learners Say About our Analytics Courses

My experience with the UCD Professional Academy was great. The lecturer was amazing and taught us very well. I will definitely be looking to further my skills with UCD Professional Academy. Studying remotely in my own time helped with work balance. After completing the course I was able to get a promotion in my current workplace.

My Data Analytics course was a very good experience. I learned a lot! I got a good foundation in the subject and I now have the skills and guidance on how I can progress in the area, while implementing what I have learned to my current role.

I found the Data Analytics course to be both challenging and informative. Learning how to use Python was one of the biggest benefits of the course, given that it’s a glue coding language and can be applied elsewhere. The course - alongside my existing experience - will be such a stepping stone into a career in Data Analytics.

I really enjoyed my time doing the Data Analytics course. I think Data Camp was really great and helpful, and my professor was really knowledgeable. The course was very informative and a great jumping off place, so I would absolutely recommend it to others.

I would recommend this course because Data Analytics is a top in-demand job today and having the basic skills in this field is always beneficial. Learning to use data and visualise it will be useful in any job! Self-learning was important in this course but there was also the interactive element with the lecturer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Study Data Analytics?

Given the massive volumes of data generated daily, we’re increasingly heading toward a more data-driven world. The better a company is at analysing and interpreting this data, the better outcomes they're likely to have. This means it's becoming more and more essential to know data fundamentals regardless of the industry you work in.

Who are these courses for?

These courses are for anyone with a passion for data, who want to expand their skills in data gathering and analysing to answer the hard-hitting questions they face in their roles. Almost every organisation has a growing need for data analysts. You will find opportunities in a wide range of sectors, from global tech companies to banking, from healthcare to retail.

Do I need to know how to code?

We have two types of course in The Analytics Collection: Code and Non-Code.

Non-Code courses do not require any coding skills. You will learn within platforms which allow you to access and manipulate data using standard excel processes, or the interactive “drag and drop” environment of Tableau.

Coding Courses require the use of a programming language, typically Python. Python is considered one of the most accessible languages to learn, and our courses will walk you through the learning process. A general understanding of programming concepts is also useful. With practice, you’ll soon be writing your own code.

Do I need to be good at maths?

Whilst there is no mathematics entry requirement for this course, a basic understanding of mathematical concepts would be beneficial.

What payment options are available?

A place on any of our courses can be secured with a 10% deposit. Students will be required to pay 40% of the fees before the start of the course, with the remaining balance due within 30 days of the course commencing.
