Is this course right for me?
This course would suit anyone whose role includes working on projects for the web, social media, or print. You should already be familiar with Adobe Photoshop – i.e., know the basic features, including how to open and save files, use layers, and make simple selections. The course is not suitable for a complete beginner. With lots of practical demonstrations, you will be introduced to the concepts and techniques that are fundamental to advanced image manipulation and have the opportunity to create or replicate examples to cement your knowledge.
You will need a computer capable of running Adobe Photoshop to take this course and the relevant licences for the application.

Our online experience is designed to be just as interactive, supportive, and inspiring as the UCD Professional Academy campus experience.

Live lectures are delivered using Zoom. During these lectures, your teachers will use technology interactively to ensure an engaging learning experience. When appropriate, students will be encouraged to activate their microphones so that they can ask questions and communicate with other students.
What is the student experience like?
Student care is a high priority at UCD Professional Academy, which is why our Student Services team is on hand to support you throughout your time with us. They will respond to any queries you have, help you with any technical issues, and facilitate your learning experience at every point. All students are given access to our Student Portal, where you can see your timetable, access all your study materials, and manage your account.
How is this course assessed?
This course is assessed through two projects. The first is released at the end of class three and is worth 40%. The second is released at the end of the final class and is worth 60%.
