About Elaine Fitzgerald McBarron:

Elaine has spent over 20 years working in Human Resources, Adult Education and Training. She has worked in the private and public sector as a Learning and Development Consultant, Trainer, Career Coach and a HR professional. She develops and delivers courses in management, communication, interviewing and career development for clients in a range of industries. She lectures on the UCD Professional Academy Diploma in Effective Business Communication.

With a proven passion for supporting individuals to realise their potential, she brings energy and creativity to her training.

 

Elaine is committed to continuous professional development. She holds a Masters in Applied Psychology (Guidance Counselling), a Masters in Women’s Studies, a degree in Human Resource Management and a degree in English, Sociology and Politics. She is a member of The British Psychological Society (BPS), and Institute of Guidance Counsellors. 

Elaine utilises her research interests in her courses. She shares knowledge from a myriad of subjects such as behavioural science, positive psychology, mindfulness, and career theory. She uses a strengths-based approach to develop participants’ confidence and competence. Her goal is to increase participants’ personal effectiveness by increasing self-awareness, developing tangible skills and committing to action.
