New Editions of Handbooks of Clinical Psychology due in 2016

The handbooks were designed to cover the lion’s share of the curriculum for doctoral level professional clinical psychology training programmes in Ireland and the UK. Previous editions have been very popular not just in Ireland and the UK, but also in the North America, Australia New Zealand and elsewhere. The first edition of the Handbook of Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology, which is a single authored text written by Professor Carr was published in 1999, and the second edition was published in 2006. The first edition of the child handbook was translated into Chinese.  The first edition of the Handbook of Adult Clinical Psychology Practice, co-edited by Professor Carr and Dr Muireann McNulty was published in 2006. The second edition will be co-edited by the same team. The first edition of the Handbook of Intellectual Disability and Clinical Psychology, co-edited by Professor Carr, Dr Gary O’Reilly, Professor Patricia Noonan Walsh and Dr John McEvoy was published in 2007. Dr Chrstine Linehan has joined the editorial team for the second edition of this volume. An international team from Ireland, the UK, Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand have authored chapters for the two edited handbooks.
