Scholarship & Funding for US student funding

US Federal & Private Loans
The US Department of Education has approved UCD to certify loans under the ‘William D. Ford Direct Loan’ program through which US students can apply for federally supported loans. If you are not eligible for federal loans, you may apply for credit-based private loans to finance your study at UCD. Global Excellence Graduate Scholarship for US Students
UCD awards five full-tuition scholarships to US applicants for one-year taught graduate programmes including the one-year Masters in Psychological Science (M Psych Sc) available in the School of Psychology. Applicants for the award are judged based on academic merit and act as ambassadors for UCD.

UCD Exchange & Study Abroad Scholarship
If you have visited UCD as an exchange exchange student or study abroad student and wish to return to UCD to complete a masters degree, you may be eligible for a tuition fee scholarship.


Universitas 21 University Tuition Scholarship
If you are a student from a Universitas 21 university and you wish to study for your masters in UCD, you may be eligible for a tuition scholarship of €2,000 or 10% of the tuition fee. In the US, this includes the University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, Ohio State University, and the University of Virginia. 


Naughton Fellowship for Notre Dame Students
If you are an undergraduate students at Notre Dame and wish to study a masters degree in UCD, you may be eligible for a Naughton Fellowship which includes a full tuition waiver and USD 20,000 living expenses.


The Mitchell Scholars Program
Sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance The Mitchell Scholars Program provides funding for twelve Mitchell Scholars for one year of graduate study in Irish universities, including UCD.

The Irish Fulbright Commission
Fulbright US student awards (worth approximately €16,000) enable US graduate students to spend one academic year studying or researching in Ireland including in UCD.
