The UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business Summer Internship Programme is an internationally-recognised programme which attracts students currently studying in the top-tier universities in the United States. The programme provides a unique blend of academic and practical skills development for students and consists of a 6-week unpaid internship and 2 weeks of academic work.
The students participating in the programme are from universities and business schools such as the University of Indiana Bloomington, the University of Wisconsin, the University of California Berkley and the University of Illinois. The students are currently completing business degrees across a range of areas such as finance, accounting, marketing, public relations and business analytics.
The participating students are registered full-time students at UCD for the duration of their internship and are in Ireland on a student visa. Therefore, the internships are unpaid. The internship component of their programme is 6 weeks in duration (mid-June to end of July). Students work during office hours from Monday to Thursday with Friday free for classes at UCD.
The programme provides a unique opportunity for organisations to target the completion of specific projects while providing interns with an invaluable opportunity to develop new skills.
