UCD German Society
The UCD German Society 2020/21 committee is very excited about the year ahead! We aim to promote the German language and the culture of German speaking-countries amongst the UCD community through a wide range of fantastische and fun events.
We have planned a mixture of online and IRL events such as our beloved weekly Kaffeeklatsch coffee mornings, Speed ‘Friending’ Abend, ‘Wine’nachten and Kinonacht for our incoming members to enjoy. Every year we celebrate key dates such as the European Day of Languages, Oktoberfest, the Fall of the Berlin Wall, and we help out with the Annual German Colours Debate – to be held in UCD next trimester!
We cannot wait for our incoming members to experience our Verrücktes Bingo event which will be hosted as part of the Goethe Institute #ThinkGerman initiative!
Whether you are a fließende/r Sprecher/in or would like to pick up ein bisschen Deutsch, our events are inclusive of all levels of German and welcome all students!
The UCD German Society has been active on campus for over 30 years and viel Spaß has always been guaranteed!
