Player Profiles

Neil Gallagher
Position:
Goalkeeper
Joined UCD from Dundalk in 2003 on a soccer scholarship. A former Irish U-19 international, Neil was part of the eircom League U-21 team which played in the international semi-pro tournament in Aberdeen last year.
Darren Quigley
Position: Goalkeeper
Current Irish Under 19 international, Darren played for Kildare County and Manchester City before signing for UCD on a Soccer Scholarship.
Alan Mahon
Position: Right Back
Son of former Bohemians and current UCD manager Pete Mahon, Alan joined UCD in 1997 and has been an ever-present since. Can play anywhere across the back four.
Conor Kenna
Position: Centre Back
Signed for UCD last season on a soccer Scholarhip. Signed from Shelbourne, where he was captain of their U21s. Conor also spent three years at Coventry City, where he played for the youth and reserve Teams. Capped at underage level.
Brian Gannon
Position: Right Back
A former Leinster youth player, Brian joins us on a soccer scholarship from Bohemians, where he won U21 player of the year in 2003. Capped at U-16 and U17 for Ireland.
Robert McAuley
Position: Centre back/Full back
Former Castleknock Celtic and Trinity College player who joined UCD in 1996. Robert is UCD's record goalscorer in European club competition, having grabbed two goals against FC Velbazhd Kyustendil in the Intertoto Cup in June 2000. Fourth on the UCD's all-time league appearances list.
Tony McDonnell
Position: Midfield/Defender
Tall commanding central defender who joined UCD in 1993. Has played for the National League U21 representative team. Can also play at full-back, Tony has spent the last few seasons playing centre midfield and was the club's top scorer in 2000/01 with seven goals. Only Ciarán Kavanagh has played more league games for the College.

Kieran Foley
Position: Centre back
Tall commanding centre half, Kieran has played for St Pats, Longford and Galway United, and was only kept out of the team last year due to the fine form of Conor Kenna and Alan McNally.
Alan McNally
Position: Centre back
Alan is in his seventh season at UCD and cemented his place in the first team with some fine performances at centre-back last season. Another former underage Irish International, Alan can also play at centre-mid.

Robert Martin
Position: Midfield / Striker
Younger brother of former Student John Martin, Robbie joined UCD in 2000. He scored on his debut for the U21 team and broke into the first team the following year where he was the club's top Scorer, beating Shelsbourne's Wes Houlihan to the PFAI Young Player of the Year Award. Former Belvedere Boys player. Has notched 28 league goals for UCD, putting him fifht in our all-time list.
Mick O'Donnell
Position: Midfield
Native of Carndonagh in County Donegal, Mick won a Harding Cup medal and a Reserve Division Championship medal in his first season at the club in 1996. Regular squad member and always one of UCD's most consistent performers. Eighth on the UCD's all-time league appearances list.
Patrick McWalter
Position: Midfield
Former St Joseph's Schoolboys player, Patrick is in his fourth year at UCD. Plays wide on the right or up front. Third top scorer last season with eight goals.
