Conferring of UCD Certificate and Diploma awards in Drug Interventions and Community Work

UCD President Prof. Deeks and Principal, College of Social Sciences and Law Prof. Colin Scott were at the conferring of UCD Certificate and Diploma awards in drug interventions and community work. UCD delivers the Certificate and Diploma programmes in partnership with Merchants Quay Ireland and Urrús Ballymun.

Students were conferred by President Prof. Deeks and Principal Prof. Scott, with the Diploma in Drugs Counselling Theory and Intervention Skills, the Diploma in Community Drug and Alcohol Work and the Certificate in Drugs Counselling Theory and Intervention Skills.

Head of School, Dr Michelle Norris chaired the conferring ceremony. She highlighted both the tremendous achievement of the students and the impact they could have in their communities in addressing drug and alcohol issues. She also acknowledged Dr Sarah Morton's hard work and commitment to the programme.

The programme was founded in 1997.
