Visit from Hong Kong colleagues

Today a team of colleagues from the (opens in a new window)Department of Social Work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong ((opens in a new window)CHKG) visited us. We had a fruitful exchange of plans for a deeper collaboration in teaching and research. Tentatively, we are hoping to establish more regular student and staff exchanges, collaborate on research papers and apply for joint funding applications. This was the second exchange of ideas between our school and the Department of Social Work. Prof Jim Campbell and Assistant Prof Nao Kodate had visited CHKG already last year, so we are very pleased that we could welcome them to UCD and continue our mutual exchange. Our colleagues were joined by Steven Ngai (Chairperson and Professor), Lam Ching Man (Vice-Chairperson and Professor), Wong Yu Cheung (Associate Professor), Raees Baig (Assistant Professor), Chang Ching Wen (Assistant Professor), Kim Min Seop (Assistant Professor).
