The symposium is designed to give students an opportunity to present their research, whether it is at an early or an advanced stage, to their fellow students and staff. In past years, students have found the feedback they have received to have been very helpful and constructive. The symposium is also an opportunity for Schools to 'show-case' the rich variety of research being conducted by their students.
All PhD students are expected to present at the Symposium and as part of the normative expectations of being a member of the PhD community, all PhD students are encouraged become an active audience member, where your role will be to support your presenting colleagues, to provide them with feedback on their presentation, and with ideas for how the work can be developed with the goal of defence of a dissertation and publication.
All recipients of the latest round of the Graduate Research & Innovation Fund will automatically be included in the list of speakers.
