International Women's Day - 8th March 2018

UCD College of Social Sciences and Law & Centre for Gender, Feminisms and Sexualities are jointly celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on the 8th March 2018 in collaboration with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit.

This is an important opportunity to celebrate UCD’s Institutional Athena SWAN Bronze award and demonstrate our commitment to making UCD more inclusive.

The UCD Centre for Gender, Feminisms and Sexualities (CGFS)
CGFS has at its core an interdisciplinary vision spanning the Arts & Humanities and Social Sciences with the aim of fostering and facilitating multi-disciplinary research and collaboration focused on the changing construction of gender and gender relations and theories of power, identities and sexualities. Active engagement with activists, social movements and civil society organisations and activities to effect social change will be a central principle of the new Centre. CGFS will also serve as a forum for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working in gender and sexuality studies. More about the UCD Centre for Gender, Feminisms & Sexualities here.
