UCD Garret FitzGerald Lecture

The lecture explained the rise of behavioural science and suggested how it can be made compatible with, and help promote, democratic and other goals.

About UCD Garret FitzGerald School

Garret FitzGerald had a deeply-rooted commitment to the role of the university, and to University College Dublin in particular, where he studied and lectured, as well as the National University of Ireland of which he was Chancellor. To reflect that relationship, an annual event named in his honour was initiated by UCD. The 2015 annual Garret FitzGerald Autumn School and Lecture was hosted by UCD College of Social Sciences and Law. The theme of the event was 'The Significance of the Social Sciences for 21st Century Ireland.'
