Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the UCD School of Politics and International Relations, to work on the project TRADE ME with Dr. Samuel Brazys.

The primary objective of TRADE ME is to impact the understanding the allocation, effectiveness and impact of foreign aid contingent on institutional and gendered scope conditions. The project moves beyond the state-of-the-art via a ground-breaking, aggregated micro-level, analysis which utilizes 300+ firm-surveys in Nigeria and Bangladesh. TRADE ME mitigates the risks of data collection by using overlapping survey techniques and the enlistment of local expertise. 

The successful candidate will support the TRADE ME project by collaborating with Dr. Brazys on data collection, analysis, and the preparation of research manuscripts, pursue an independent research agenda within the broad scope of the TRADE ME project and teach not more than 3 modules per academic year in one or more of the following areas: research methods, development, international political economy, international relations.

In addition to a CV & a Cover Letter, briefly describing your intellectual trajectory so far and discussing why you are a good fit for the TRADE ME project (2 pages maximum); Candidate are also required to provide a writing sample: such as an article, dissertation chapter, or term paper.

Salary: €36,854 - €37,383 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
