Part time Research Assistant (60%) September 2019-February 2020
Applications are requested for a Research Assistant on the EUI Global Governance Programme: GLOBALCIT
The research assistant will support the Co-Directors of GlobalCit in the implementation of the EU-CITZEN project, under the direction of Prof Rainer Bauboeck and Prf. Brigid Laffan.
- Updating and backdating the GlobalCit Birthright Indicators, in consultation with the GlobalCit expert Iseult Honohan
- Preparing and implementing a data archiving strategy in line with FAIR Data principles
- Drafting a narrative brief (5-10 pages) on the developments in EU28 since 2013
Place of work: EUI/Florence (flexible work arrangements can be discussed in view of the part-time and temporary nature of the contract)
Starting on 1 September 2019. Part-time 60% (3 days per week). Contract duration 6 months.
Salary indication: Basic monthly net salary approx. 1500 EUR, and allowances if applicable.
PhD degree or late stage in a doctoral programme in, preferably, Political Science with experience in quantitative research methods and a demonstrable affinity with comparative legal research
Profound knowledge of nationality law, preferably in a comparative context
Specific expertise in development of indicators and working with online content management systems
Languages: A very good level of written and spoken English (C-level) is compulsory. A good knowledge (B-level) of other EU languages will constitute an advantage.
