The men’s club with 71 teams is UCD’s biggest sports club.
The first team plays their Airtricity League First Division home games on Friday nights in the UCD Bowl. A scholarship programme is supplemented by a high degree of activity at intermediate and fresher levels and the Bank of Ireland Superleague, a sporting phenomenon at UCD. League involvement includes the National League, the Leinster Senior League, the Superleague and the Colleges and Universities League. The club also competes in the two Irish Universities Cup competitions, the Harding and Collingwood Cups.

Much of the publicity associated with UCD’s progress as a powerhouse of Irish soccer refers to the University team competing in the Airtricity League First Division. But with the development of elite soccer players has been the growth of the ever popular and ever-expanding Bank of Ireland Superleague.
Over sixty teams from across the University compete in the league, which promotes the bond between students in the same class and translates this affinity onto the playing pitch. The Bank of Ireland Superleague is recognised as an official and fully approved league by the FAI.

UCD AFC runs a hugely successful soccer camp for boys and girls aged 5-14 years at both Halloween and Easter and all throughout the Summer. The camp employs players from our SSE Airtricity League of Ireland first team squad as coaches and also has a specialised Goalkeeping clinic.
