UCD Student Services - Virtual Support

UCD Student Services remains fully open and operational during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Keep an eye on this page for updates on Student Centre operations.

We are concsious though that not all students will be able to travle to UCD to avail of our onsite supports so we have organised a suite of virtual supports to help you through this time.

Social Events

Student Organisations (Like the SU, Societies and Sports Clubs) are continuing to run events online throughout the pandemic. When restrictions allow they will also run some in-person events.

Fitness and Wellbeing

UCD Sport and fitness are running a virtual fitness class timetable while level 5 restrictions are in place. As a UCD Student, you have immediate access to both Live and On-Demand Low & High Intensity Fitness Classes from the comfort of your home with UCD Sport & Fitness.

Emotional Support

The UCD Student Counselling team is continuing to support students during the level 5 restrictions using telephone and video. To arrange a consultation please contact the service here

In addition, Student Services alongside Student Health and Counselling recommend the following virtual resources for you to use from the comfort of your own location : 

  • Niteline is a listening service operated by students, for student and is available during college term. Niteline is staffed by student volunteers who operate the phone and txt line every evening during term 20:30 - 00:30.
  • A free 24/7 text service, providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support for people going through a mental health or emotional crisis - big or small. Txt 50808
