The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, in partnership with the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), has recruited at least one student associate from each higher education institution (both USI affiliated and non-affiliated institutions) in Ireland on a part-time paid basis to form the National Forum Student Associate Assembly. All currently registered students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, across all modes of study were invited to apply for the student associate role, which will operate on a part-time basis for this academic year.

Through the Assembly the student associates will work to enhance and develop a partnership approach to ensure that students continue to play a central role in shaping the future landscape of teaching and learning in Irish higher education.

They will support teaching and learning enhancement both within their institutions and at a national level by bringing a strong student voice, informed by their lived student experience, to national teaching and learning enhancement in higher education.

Congratulations to the three student associates who have been appointed from UCD.

  • Aine Kennelly, Stage 3 Business and Law student
  • Eleanor Ronan, Stage 3 English and Music student
  • Neha Kamrani, Phd student, English, Drama and Film
