If you're a returning UCD student, you will not have to queue each year for a new card. Your UCARD is designed to last you for the duration of your programme in UCD. Only new students or students changing programme (e.g. going from a Bachelor degree to a Masters) will be issued with a student UCARD this year.

If you are a returning student living on campus accommodation you must bring your student card with you during check-in for it to be activated for access to your room.

It is important that you report a lost or stolen UCARD immediately to the UCARD Office in the Newman Building. There is a fee of €20 for replacing lost/stolen cards.

UCARD Central Hub does not accept cash.  If there is a replacement cost a charge will be made against your UCARD, please ensure that you have sufficient balance on your UCARD account before requesting a replacement card.

For replacement UCards during Orientation week, please go to the UCard Central Hub (Building 71 - as displayed below)
