Enactus UCD

Enactus is non-profit organisation that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Guided by academic advisors and business experts, participating students from all disciplines form a team on their university campus and apply business concepts to create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe.

The experience not only transforms lives, it helps students develop the kind of talent and perspective that are essential to leadership in an ever-more complicated and challenging world. An annual National Competition provides a forum for teams to present the results of their projects, and to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges.

The National Champion Team advances to the prestigious Enactus World Cup. In addition to the community focus of the programme, Enactus offers leadership and career initiatives as well as the opportunity of placements for students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent.

Enactus UCD has been in the Enactus Ireland network since the establishment of Enactus Ireland in 2011. Enactus UCD placed 4th at the Enactus World Cup 2014 in Beijing with their project, Generation Accommodation.

We are a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world. Founded in November 2011, Enactus Ireland is one of 39 countries around the world that operates an Enactus programme.
