University College Dublin
Welcome to the UCDO website.
Orienteering involves navigating around a set course in order to locate control points shown on a map. It takes place mainly in forests but also in parks, mountains, sand dunes and occasionally on streets. At the higher levels, it is a competitive sport which involves navigation and fitness. However, with lengths ranging from 2k to 10k everyone can find a course to suit their ability. And of course there is a strong social dimension! Foreign trips in recent years include the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, the Lake District, Yorkshire, Scotland and Belgium.
If you are new to the sport, please see What is Orienteering? for more information.
If you are a member of the club please see the news page.
