INMED 2013: Scientific Meeting
University College Dublin is proud to host the 6th scientific meeting of the Irish Network of Medical Educators (INMED) from Thursday 21st February to Friday 22nd February 2013. INMED’s specific objective is to enhance medical education on the island of Ireland by bringing together individuals and organisations with interests and responsibilities in medical and healthcare education.
This conference is a scientific meeting for anyone involved in education of the healthcare profession and is an opportunity to report and discuss research and initiatives with colleagues.
Theme & Focus
This theme of this year’s conference will be Patient-Centred Medical Education: Human Factors, Patient Safety, Learning from Patients.
This two day event will be composed of a series of workshops, poster presentations, keynote speeches and panel discussions. Keynote speeches for the 2013 conference will be delivered by:
- Dr Lynn Monrouxe, Director of Medical Education Research at Cardiff University Institute of Medical Education
- Professor Charlotte Rees, Director of the Centre for Medical Education at University of Dundee
- Mrs Margaret Murphy, Member of the Steering Group of the Patients for Patient Safety strand of the WHO World Alliance for Patient Safety
- Professor Eilis McGovern, National Programme Director for Medical Training in the HSE
